FormatSpot tools are designed to process files in your browser when the selected engine supports it. We do not intentionally upload or store the contents of files selected in local conversion or preflight tools.
PDF accessibility preflight
The free PDF accessibility checker reads the selected document locally in the browser. It may calculate findings such as page count, issue count, broad file-size bucket, completion status, and error category. PDF contents, extracted text, document metadata values, findings containing document text, and file names must not be sent to product analytics.
Technical data
Hosting and security providers may process ordinary request and security data needed to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
Product analytics
We may measure non-content events such as page views, tool starts, broad file type, broad size bucket, completion status, issue totals, interest in future features, and errors. File contents and file names must not be sent to analytics. Analytics is first-party and cookie-less: no cookies are set, and IP addresses and user agents are not stored.
External libraries
Some tools load open-source browser libraries or WebAssembly packages from a CDN. The PDF accessibility checker uses PDF.js from jsDelivr. Review the tool's visible status before using it with sensitive material.
Advertising
If advertising or affiliate links are introduced, they will be labeled and consent controls will be used where required.
